Ten-Broeck Code of Conduct
School Code of Conduct
Statement of Purpose
At Ten-Broeck Elementary School, we are committed to providing a safe, caring, inclusive, and orderly learning environment where all students can learn, grow, and thrive. We believe that positive relationships, mutual respect, and shared responsibility are the foundation of a strong school
community
Our Commitment
In partnership with families, students, and staff, we strive to create a school culture where every individual feels welcomed, valued, respected, and connected. Our Code of Conduct aligns with the Abbotsford School District Code of Conduct and the principles of the BC Human Rights Code. We are
committed to providing an inclusive learning environment for our staff and students regardless of their race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religion, marital status, family status, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or age.
Access to Safe Zones
To support student safety and uninterrupted learning, Safe School Access Zones are in effect around all K-12 public and independent schools in British Columbia. Within these zones, behaviour that interferes with the safe access of students, staff, families, and visitors to school grounds is prohibited. Activities that intimidate, harass, impede, or disrupt individuals entering or leaving school property are not permitted. All members of our school community are expected to respect these protections and contribute to a positive atmosphere for learning.
Student Use of Personal Digital Devices in School
To support student learning, focus, and digital well-being, personal digital devices may only be used with the permission of a staff member for educational purposes. Students are expected to use technology in a safe, respectful, and responsible manner..
