Parents and Students

Some ways to get involved include:

• show your child that you value education, and school involvement
• get to know your child’s teacher - good communication is important
• take part in school activities - be a parent volunteer
• attend open houses and parent-teacher conferences
• contact the school if you have a question or concern
• make sure that your child has brought home all school notices, permission slips and newsletters
• read and review the Parent & Student handbook with your child
• help your child make the most of his or her study time, show encouragement and support
• ensure that your child arrives at school prepared for the school day (supplies, homework, gym strip, lunch).
